Accelerated College Entrance
Summer registration deadlines at California State University, Sacramento will soon be upon us. Because of this, I want to make sure that you are aware of the summer opportunities that the Accelerated College Entrance (ACE) program can provide.
ACE is a unique program at California State University, Sacramento that allows qualified high school students to enroll in university courses while completing regular high school studies. ACE provides advanced high school students with an opportunity to study subject matter that may not otherwise be available to them. Credits earned as an ACE student may be applied to degree programs at Sac State or may be transferred to other universities.
Under a special agreement granted by Sacramento State, the total cost for admission to this university program and registration is only $5 per semester!
ACE students may take courses at Sacramento State during the fall, spring, and summer semesters at this reduced fee until high school graduation provided that they maintain good academic standing with both the university and their regular high school.
The cost for textbooks, class supplies, and other University-related expenses (parking, OneCard, etc.) are in addition to the registration fees.
2008 Summer School Opportunities
Students can choose from a wide range of lower division courses (001 to 099) in the Sac State schedule depending on the student's background and interest. Typically, an ACE student enrolls in one academic class the first semester. The second semester's course load will depend on past performance.
