School Site Governing Council
The purpose of this Council is to establish a site-based decision making committee to oversee the operations of John F. Kennedy High School. The Council will be comprised of the various constituencies at the school who will determine the paths the school will follow in an effort to best serve students and the community.
The John F. Kennedy High School Governing Council is designed for the purposes of promoting school improvement and academic excellence among student attending the school. The formation of this Council, through its membership and duties, is expected to be a shift in roles and relationships away from the traditional model of schools to a more open, participatory system that includes parents, students, community, teachers, and other school staff.
